The 3rd Annual Netcare Foundation Community Awards and Recognition Dinner was held on Wednesday, October 6 at the Columbus Museum of Art. After being postponed and cancelled in 2020 the Netcare Foundation was elated to have the opportunity to host the event in-person even if it meant checking vaccination cards and requiring face masks. Many sponsors returned to support the Netcare Foundation and many new supporters joined the organization for the first time this year. In total, about 130 guests attended the event and several more joined the silent auction online from the comfort of their own homes. Our emcee, Matt Herchik from NBC4, did a fantastic job orchestrating the evening and our honorees from Southeast and Community Housing Network were humbled to be acknowledged for their efforts in helping our clients find stable and affordable housing. We also acknowledged the Netcare staff that were present at the event for their hard work on the front lines of caring for the some of the most vulnerable individuals in our community and never wavering, even during a pandemic. We raised a total of $57,900 which nearly doubled the amount raised in 2019.
A big thank you to our sponsors this year! Thank you to our Title Sponsor, Ohio Hospital for Psychiatry. We regretfully, had to postpone our 3rd Annual Community Awards and Recognition Dinner scheduled for Wednesday, October 7 at the Columbus Museum of Art until 2021. However, we don’t want to miss the opportunity to share the stories of our former clients and the vital work we do here everyday as we work with thousands of individuals in need of crisis services. This is our community at work and together we can end the stigma surrounding mental health and substance use.
Visit the Netcare Access YouTube channel or our Facebook page for a special premiere on Wednesday, October 7 at 10:45am
