Miles House (click to view brochure-Adobe PDF required)

Miles House, located at 2582 W. Broad Street, is an eight (8) bed, respite option for adults, ages eighteen (18) and over, who are considered to be in a mental health, alcohol or drug related crisis.  Those needing services may stay up to sixteen (16) days.  The Miles House offers a less restrictive environment than psychiatric hospitalization.  Residential services are offered in a comfortable, homelike and supportive environment.  Residents at the Miles House are often experiencing increased symptoms of mental illness and have an inability to solve a situational crisis.  Residents are encouraged to develop and utilize internal and external resources to help stabilize their crisis situation.  At times, clients find that if temporarily separated from their natural environment, stabilization and/or resolution of the problem often occurs.  Referrals to the Miles House are accepted from area hospitals, community professionals, mental health centers, Netcare’s crisis sites and the Crisis Stabilization Unit.
